6. Dehydration
Cats with food poisoning often become dehydrated quickly due to vomiting and diarrhea. To check, gently pinch the skin between your cat’s shoulder blades and lift it. If it snaps back immediately, your cat is hydrated. If it tents or stays up, that’s a sign of dehydration.
Other signs include dry or tacky gums, sunken eyes, and reduced urination in the litter box.
