9. Rapid Weight Loss
If your cat loses more than 10% of their body weight over a few weeks, something serious is happening. In the context of a recalled food, this could indicate long-term nutritional deficiency (like in the Quest Cat Food thiamine issue) or chronic bacterial infection.
Weigh your cat regularly. A healthy 10-pound cat losing even 1 pound is cause for concern.
