4. Milk and Dairy Treats
Despite the popular image of a cat lapping up a saucer of milk, most adult cats are lactose intolerant. Dairy-based treats and “cat milk” products can cause painful bloating, diarrhea, and vomiting.
The ASPCA confirms that cow’s milk is not appropriate for cats. Some specialty “cat milk” products have reduced lactose, but many standard dairy treats still contain enough to cause digestive upset.
