6. String, Yarn, and Rubber Bands
Cats love playing with string — but swallowed string can wrap around internal organs or bunch up in the intestines, causing a condition called “linear foreign body.” It often requires emergency surgery.
Dental floss, hair ties, tinsel, and ribbon are equally dangerous. Never leave these items where your cat can reach them.
