10. Antifreeze
Antifreeze (ethylene glycol) has a sweet taste that attracts cats. Even a teaspoon can cause fatal kidney failure within 24-72 hours. It is one of the deadliest household poisons for cats.
If you suspect your cat has ingested antifreeze, this is a veterinary emergency. Treatment must begin within hours to be effective.
