3. Onions and Garlic
Onions, garlic, chives, and leeks all belong to the Allium family, and ALL are toxic to cats — whether raw, cooked, powdered, or mixed into food.
These foods damage red blood cells and can cause a condition called Heinz body anemia. Even small amounts over time can build up to dangerous levels.
